Sesame Rice for Confined Women

There are three ladies in my fellowship group have just delivered in October and December recently. I cooked this sesame rice for one of my friends who has nobody to help her. Last time, a sister from Taiwan cooked this for me during my confinement. Very often, we bring this for traveling cos it just too convenient to bring along. This menu can help one's bower movement.

Ingredients: Glutinous rice, ground pork/beef, shrimp, carrot, celery, shittake (Chinese dried mushroom), ginger, shallots, sesame oil and soy sauce.

Directions:
(1) Wash and rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly,
(2) Steam the rice for 20 minutes,
(3) Soak the shittake in warm water, for about 20 minutes,
(4) Cut the carrot, celery, ginger, shallots, soaked shittake,
(5) Fry the shallots in medium flame and remove for later use,
(6) Brown the ginger with sesame oil in high flame and remove for later use,
(7) Cook the ground pork/beef, shrimp and shittake, about 5 minutes
(8) Fry the glutinous rice with shrimp and shittake in high flame for about 10 minutes,
(9) Add in the ginger and shallots in (5) & (6),
(10) Add in soy sauce,
(11) Put all ingredients including the carrot and celery into the rice pot,
(12) Add in water/chicken stock until everything is just covered.

Note: To preserve the vitamins, cook the carrot and celery only in rice cooker.
