Steamed Trout

Yeah, Spring is here, so does the great trout! According to wikipedia, trout is either freshwater or saltwater fish, which belongs to the Salmoninae subfamily of the family Salmonidae. We missed trout so much during the Winter. Steamed trout just a perfect refreshing dish that we love.






Ingredients:
1 medium-sized trout, scale removed and cut into halves
onion, 3 thin slices
1 carrot, shredded
1/3 cake of tofu, cubed
1/2 summer squash, bite-sized
2 Tbsp soy sauce
sea salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp canola oil
little lime/lemon juice

 Directions:
1. Heat oil and lightly brown the onion
2. Arrange trout, carrot, tofu and squash in a big bowl
3. Season trout with salt, pepper and lime juice
4. Pour the hot oil together with the onion unto the fish
5. Season carrot, tofu and squash with little salt
6. Sprinkle well everything with soy sauce
7. Sprinkle a little bit of sesame oil over the top of everything
8. Cover and steam in pot with boiling water, 20-30 minutes (whenever the fish is fully cooked)
