Non-toxic Cleaning Solutions

Not a frugal moms will go for non-toxic cleaning solutions, but all wise moms do. Reason simply because it makes you feel loving and secure. Your family's health is protected. Make your home a place to rest your body, mind and souls, but not promote and expose to harm.

As Spring is approaching, spring cleaning is common and moms definitely need some cleaning solutions for your clean and hygiene home. It takes you no time to come out with the non-toxic cleaning solutions. Just check on the following solutions and their simple, straightforward directions.


  • Glass cleaner: mix 1 Tbsp of vinegar/lemon juice in 1 quart of water.
  • Toilet bowl cleaner: baking soda or vinegar
  • Oven, basin & stove cleaner: baking soda
  • Furniture polisher: mix 1 tsp of lemon juice in 1 pint of vegetable oil
  • Rugs deodorizer: sprinkle with baking soda, vacuum after 15 minutes
  • Plants cleaner: wipe leaves with mild soap and water, then rinse.
  • Mold cleaner: 2 tsp of tea tree oil + 2 cups water
For places with high humidity, mold is common. Straight vinegar can kill up to 82% of mold. Just pour some white distilled vinegar straight into a spray bottle, spray on the moldy area, and let set without rinsing. It will dissipate in a few hours.

Useful and to have items: spray, sponge, rubber gloves, newspaper (good for window cleaning).
